Exactly. Blue had two problems – 1) Duncan James being the slimy tosspot that he was and still is. 2) All Rise being their only decent song.

“All Rise” is not only Blue’s best song, but probably one of the best pop songs of that era. I distinctly remember it charting at around #3 or #4 in my end of year singles wrap up of 2001.

I must admit, I preferred Lift Me Up, and probably still do. And also, I was *all* about Solo Geri at this point too, and could not understand why she wasn’t really making much of a mark with her follow ups to Look At Me here in Oz.

I remember reading about the Richie5/Billie saga in her autobiography and being quite stunned and floored at how intense some of the hatred was towards her by 5IVE’s fans. A lot of it actually got incredibly frightening for the poor girl…

I really, really miss Matt Willis the pop star. And by God, I remember that “or I’ll get dropped” line as well, and also remember thinking to myself “oh dear…” at the time.

The album has aged rather well over the years hasn’t it? There are a few dud moments but, overall, it’s mainly killer, barely filler.
